Reid Ellis Richards, age 30, travelled to the spirit world on Monday, November 27, 2023, in Minneapolis, MN.

Reid was born on December 25, 1992, in Minneapolis, MN to Linda (Hill) Mattson. He graduated from South High in Minneapolis. He enjoyed travelling, had plans to visit New York and had been to Chicago. He loved spending time with close family and friends. Reid worked many jobs, including manager positions, setting up concert stages at US Bank Stadium and also helped build it. He loved his nieces and nephews with all his heart. He made sure his family was always good. Reid will always be remembered as a go-getter, fast paced, hard worker, a great uncle, brother and friend.

He is survived by his step-father, Tony Mattson, father, Sam Richards; brothers: Justin (Alyssa White) Richards, Sam Richards; sister, Alicia Richards; uncles: Gregory Hill, Jeremy Hill; aunts: Gladys Saragosa, Rosalie Hill, Deloras Hill.

Those greeting him in the spirit world are his mother, Linda (Hill) Mattson and his brother, Paul Hill; grandparents: Frank and Alice (Ellis) Hill; great uncle, George Hill, uncle, William Hill; aunties: Francis Hill and Mable Kingbird.

A traditional wake will begin at 5PM on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the New Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake and continue through Saturday, December 2, 2023. Active pallbearers will be: Nolan Nyman, Derek Harper, Brandon Murray, Timothy Goodman, Bobby Gleason, Leonard Spears. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Richards Sr., Sam Richards, Sam M. Richards, Vincent Hill, Gregory Hill, Jeremy Hill, Justin Richards Jr. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Red Lake.
