Harmony Co-op to host Ojibwe Language Event Nov. 11

As part of National Native American Heritage Month, the Harmony Co-op Explorers program will hold an Ojibwe Language Event from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the co-op.Contributed

BEMIDJI - As part of National Native American Heritage Month, the Harmony Co-op Explorers program will hold an Ojibwe Language Event from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the co-op.

Participants will learn about the Ojibwe language through a scavenger hunt and activity sheets, a release said. There will also be a build-your-own snack: seasonal salad with manoomin (wild rice).

Children must be accompanied by an adult and pre-registration is required.

Harmony Co-op Explorers is a free program for children ages 12 and younger. To learn more about becoming a Co-op Explorer or to register for the event, visit customer service at the co-op or go to http://www.harmonyfoods.coop/harmonycoopexplorers.
