PRIMARY FUNCTION

Incumbent will facilitate planning, development and implementation for the Healing to Wellness Court program through the Red Lake Nation Court System. In conjunction with court staff, the Healing to Wellness Coordinator is responsible for forming, coordinating and staffing a multidisciplinary advisory team, drafting/updating a program policy and procedures to screen and determine eligibility of participants, and produce deliverables required by the granting agency in a timely manner. This position does have supervisory responsibilities, Reports to Red Lake Nation Court Administrator, full-time position with benefits, salary $25.00 hourly

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work collaboratively with the Healing to wellness multidisciplinary advisory team and court staff in the development of programming for services for Healing to Wellness participants who are struggling with drug and/or alcohol issues and facing criminal sanctions

• Prepare status reports for community members admitted into the Healing to Wellness court

• Organize, attend and facilitate case staffing meetings conducted prior to review hearings and participate in review hearings

• Develop community resources for Healing to Wellness participants

• Participate in relevant conferences, meetings, committees as needed and Healing to Wellness advisory team

• Responsible for overall program coordination which includes budget review, preparation of technical reports, reporting on outcomes and ensuring program accountability to adhere to requirements of grant(s)

• Work with Healing to Wellness participants to assist with referrals as appropriate

• Submit monthly reports to Court Administrator

• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• GED/High School Diploma preferred

• Must have a valid Minnesota driver's license and current auto insurance

• Demonstrate commitment to community cultural ventures

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Must possess knowledge of traditional, cultural practices that promote a good healthy life style or "good life" as referred to in our teachings

• Must possess the ability to work in a team approach with the willingness to work collaboratively with various programs

• Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed

• Must adhere to confidentiality and data privacy act

• Must abide by the program's code of ethics

• Employment in contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug test and background check
