PRIMARY FUNCTION

Coordinate cultural services ad activities to ensure Healing to wellness clients are receiving a whole health plan for court programming. Reports to Healing to Wellness Court Coordinator, Full-time position with benefits, Salary; $20.00 hourly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support clients with materials regarding culturally sensitive advocacy and guidance when needed

• Maintain and create high quality relationships with organization staff, community programs and members

• Assist staff and clients with intervention sessions to include but not limited to: talking circles, singing, drumming, regalia making cultural ceremonies, seasonal encampments, etc.

• Assist with providing activities for Healing to wellness clients on a weekly basis

• Provide culturally sensitive materials and/or prevention activities to HTW clients

• Be respectful of coworkers; willing to share knowledge gained to help others learn

• Assist staff in maintaining accurate and up to date activity logs

• Submit monthly reports to Healing to Wellness Court Coordinator

• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• GED/High School Diploma preferred

• Must have a valid Minnesota driver's license and current auto insurance

• Demonstrate commitment to community cultural ventures

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Must possess knowledge of traditional, cultural practices that promote a good healthy lifestyle or "good life" as it is referred to in our teachings

• Must possess the ability to work in a team approach with the willingness to work collaboratively with various programs

• Must be able to work evenings and weekends as need

• Must adhere to confidentiality and data privacy act

• Must abide by the program's code of ethics

• Employment is contingent upon a pre-employment drug test and background check
