Paul Bunyan Communications, CoBank Donate to new Northwoods Battered Women's Shelter

(Bemidji, MN) (September 25, 2023) – Paul Bunyan Communications and CoBank recently made a donation to the new Northwoods Battered Women's Shelter in Bemidji.

Many things have changed-since the Northwoods Battered Women's Shelter was first started 45 years ago. The people, the community, and even the way we think about serving and advocating for survivors of domestic violence. Every day, more and more individuals and families rely on the shelter for crisis intervention, individual counseling and therapy, support groups and emergency financial assistance.

The new shelter will allow Northwoods Battered Women's Shelter to double their capacity and double their impact for victims and survivors of domestic violence. This change will revolutionize not only their ability to house those in need but also expand outreach services.
