Nellie Cole Bowen-Omaha, Wanbli Wicakpi Winyan (Eagle Star Women), age 25 of St. Paul, Minnesota journeyed to the Spirit World on Friday, July 7, 2023. She was born June 7, 1998 in Minneapolis, Minnesota the daughter of Angela (Senogles) Bowen and David Bowen. Nellie was a proud member of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. Nellie was raised by her maternal grandmother: Barbara Omaha. Nellie was raised to participate in ceremonies and Sundance. She was very proud of the lifestyle of being at Sundance and participating in sweat lodge ceremonies. She also enjoyed dancing Jingle dress at Powwows with her siblings. She always displayed a loving, sweet, and accepting relationship with family and friends, she also shared her funny and comical side with family and friends. Her sweet, kind pensonality always resonated with people that knew her.

Survived by her parents: Angela and David Bowen; brothers: Antoine Archambault, DJ Bowen, Benjamin (Brenda) Doxtator, Donleigh Doxtator, David Bowen-Omaha, Leroy (Lizzy) Bowen-Omaha, John (Julie) Bowen-Omaha; sisters: Genevieve Doxtator and Barbara Chartrand; special friend: Mathew Poitra (Chewy); many nieces, nephews, cousins, several aunties and uncles.

Preceded in death by grandmother: Barbara Omaha; grandfather: Bradley Senogles; grandfather: Arlo Omaha; sister: Amber Bowen; brother: Manuel Archambault Sr .; uncle: Antoine Senogles; niece: Cesity Doxtator; cousins: Bradley Martinez and Charley Rose Senogles.

An all-night visitation will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023 beginning at 7:00 P.M. at the All Nation Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

An all-night visitation will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 beginning at 7:00 P.M. at the Veteran's Hall Building in Cass Lake, Minnesota.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at the Veteran's Hall Building in Cass Lake, Minnesota.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Arlana Senogles, Lizzy Halling, Lavonne Senogles, Barbara Chartrand, Julie Larson, Genevieve Doxtator.

Casket Bearers will be Leroy Bowen-Omaha, David Bowen-Omaha, Antoine Archambault, Donleigh Doxtator, Benjamin Doxtator, Buster Senoglas Jr., Genaro Perez, DJ Bowen.

Interment will be held at The Prince of Peace Cemetery in Cass Lake, Minnesota.
