PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

A successful candidate would help solve the issue of how we will feed future generations and expand our economic development opportunities with cannabis cultivation. The Agriculture Technician is responsible for specific activities to meet the program's goals of offering training in agriculture/horticulture. Full-time position with benefits. Reports to Agriculture Training Director. Salary; $15.00-$25.00 DOQ

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Assist with cultivation, production & manufacturing of cannabis products

• Be punctual and ready to work at the designated time

• Assist with crop maintenance, including but not limited to weeding, harvesting, identifying needs & abnormal characteristics of the crops

• Assist in ensuring that the growth requirements of plants are consistently met through constant monitoring and responsiveness

• Assist in daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning/maintenance tasks, this includes maintaining a safe, clean environment in all areas utilized by the cultivation team

• Work to ensure that all cultivation tasks are being carried out according to state and local compliance standards and regulations

• Work together as a team in accomplishing large tasks

• Contribute to a fun, team-oriented, and challenging work environment in an innovative and pioneering atmosphere

• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATION:

• Reliability and Trustworthiness

• Education/certification or experience with agriculture/horticulture +

• Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance+

• Employment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug test and background check

• Abide by the Red Lake/Oshkiimaajitahdah Drug policy - Zero Tolerance and Confidential Policy

• Physical requirements include standing, bending, and lifting 50 pounds, pushing carts and wheelbarrows, carrying flats and pots

• Willingness to learn, follow directions and ask questions as needed

• Availability to work occasional weekends and holidays

• Must have reliable transportation

• Native American Preference
