PEACE OFFICERS MEMORIAL SERVICE

As part of National Police Week, Sheriff Jason Riggs extends an invitation to area law enforcement personnel and the public to attend Beltrami County’s Peace Officers Memorial Service on Thursday, May 18th, 2023 at 5:30PM on the Beltrami County Courtyard Pavilion located at 6th Street and Beltrami Ave NW downtown Bemidji. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be relocated to Bemidji Fire Station #1 at 318 5th Street NW.

President John F. Kennedy proclaimed May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day on October 1st, 1961 following congressional authorization. Since then, the proclamation has been expanded to include many activities as part of National Police Week.

We hope to see you on Thursday, May 18th at 5:30PM as we honor the lives and sacrifice so many have made.
