ARREST FOLLOWING STABBING

Eckles Township – Beltrami County, MN - On Sunday, May 7th, 2023 at about 6:30AM The Beltrami County 911 Communications Center received a call of a stabbing in the 5000 block of Theater Ln NW in Eckles Township, Beltrami County. The adult male suspect was reportedly chasing additional persons and attempting to break out windows of vehicles. Beltrami County Deputies, Bemidji Police Officers and Minnesota State Troopers responded.

Upon arrival it was determined that an adult male had lacerations to his face. Through investigation and witness accounts, an adult male, Joshua Lee Beaulieu 01/01/1995 was arrested and transported to the Beltrami County Adult Correctional Facility. The victim, an adult male was transported by Ambulance to the Sanford Hospital Emergency Department. The victim’s injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

Beaulieu was charged in district court with 2nd Degree Assault and 1st Degree Property Damage, and remains in custody.

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Bemidji Police Department, the Minnesota State Patrol and Bemidji Ambulance.
