Suspicious vehicle served Summary Exclusion Orders and escorted off Red Lake Reservation by police

On Monday, April 17, 2023 around 12:00 A.M a vehicle was reported driving around the Red Lake area by a community member. Occupants from the vehicle were said to be making attempts at contacting children through a loud speaker in or on the vehicle. Officers later made contact with the vehicle in the Ponemah area after it was reported to be seen by a security guard.

Red Lake Conservation and Red Lake Officers did make contact with the vehicle and its occupants. The occupants, a male and female reported to Officers that they were sightseeing in the area. The occupants were served summary exclusion orders and Officers advised them they were not allowed back on the Red Lake Reservation. They were then escorted off of the reservation by Officers.

The vehicle description is described below and photographs are attached. If the vehicle is seen within the boundaries of the Red Lake Reservation, please contact Red Lake Law Enforcement at (218) 679-3313.

Also, please keep an eye on your children and make sure you know where they are at, at all times.
