Barbara Jean (Clark) Moran

December 15, 1963 ~ April 1, 2023 (age 59)

Barbara Jean (Clark) Moran, 59, "Makwa Miniquaw Nibi Bimandaziwin" which means "Bear Who Drinks the Water of Life Woman" of Ponsford, Minnesota began her journey to the spirit world on Saturday, April 1st, 2023, from her home.

Barb was born on Sunday, December 15th, 1963, in Park Rapids, MN to Sara (Croud) and Clarence Clark, Sr. She spent her whole life in the Ponsford area. After graduating from high school, Barb graduated from culinary school, becoming a chef. Although Barb enjoyed cooking all kinds of dishes, her specialty was fried potatoes and eggs. Barb became a personal care attendant because she enjoyed taking care of people so much. She also enjoyed going to the casino, dancing, listening to her oldies and country music, singing karaoke...at home, and going to powwows. Barb loved ice fishing, all the way up until the day she burnt her nephews fish house down...she hasn't fished since. Barb was a goof ball who was always being silly or pranking, making everyone she was around laugh. But her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Her joy for life and humor will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Family that Barbara is reunited with are her husband, Patrick Moran; daughter, Alecia Moran; parents, Sara and Clarence Sr .; sisters, Melissa and Mary Lou Clark, Diane Goodman, Bernice Buckanaga, Evelyn Thompson, Babe Smith, and Cleo Jones; brothers, John Croud, Charles Clark, and Clarence Clark, Jr .; nieces, Sara Annette and Mary Jane Clark; nephews, Tim Annette and Douglas Clark, Jr. and many more relatives.

Those she leaves behind to forever cherish her memory are her daughter, McKenzie Fairbanks; significant other, George Fairbanks; sisters, Jo Ann Annette, Edie Smith, Betty (John) Robbins, and Sara Hunt; brother, Douglas Clark, Sr .; nieces, Shyleah and Melissa Brown, Shaelyn, Kimberly, and Alayna Leigland, and Katie Robbins; her fur grandbabies, Pip and Jordan and numerous other family members.

An overnight wake for Barbara will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 6th and continue until her 12:00 p.m. traditional service on Friday, April 7th all to be held at the Old Pine Point School in Ponsford, MN. Mike Swan and Pastor Bob Laphos will officiate. Traditional music provided by the Smoky Hill Drum Group. Helping to lay Barbara to rest are Anthony Annette, John Annette, William Annette, Anthony Clark, Clarence Clark III, J.R. Smith, Matthew Leigland and Trulo Adams. Her honorary pallbearers are Becky and Steve Gotchie, Anthony Goodman, Shannon Bassett and all her nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
