...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TUESDAY TO 7 AM CDT THURSDAY...
* WHAT...Heavy snow and some mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 9 to 19 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
* WHERE...Lake Of The Woods, North Beltrami, East Polk, North Clearwater and South Beltrami Counties.
* WHEN...From noon Tuesday to 7 AM CDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult to impossible. Widespread falling and blowing snow will significantly reduce the visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning and evening commutes.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
