Minnesota's Infrastructure Union Grades Senate Republicans "F" for Failure to Pass a Bipartisan Construction Jobs Bill

Saint Paul, MN — Joel Smith, President and Business Manager of LIUNA Minnesota and North Dakota released the following statement after every Republican Senator voted against a $1.5 billion local jobs and projects bill.

“Every Senator who votes against local jobs and projects deserves a failing grade for abandoning their duty to keep Minnesotans safe and working. It is appalling that not one Senate Republican voted for a bill that passed the State House with a large bipartisan majority, blocking tens of thousands of construction jobs and projects vital to the communities they represent. Capital investments should never be linked to tax or any other policy. Do not play political football with our members’ jobs and the quality and safety of Minnesota’s infrastructure. Go back and get the job done.”
