Patricia A. McLaughlin, age 73, of Sawyer, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 at her home. She was born July 13, 1949, in Sawyer, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Tiessen) Martin. Patricia worked as a foster mother for St. Louis County and for the Fond du Lac Reservation where she was a member. She loved playing bingo, gambling, and going to the casino. Patricia especially loved spending time with her family and friends and helping out others when she could.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James McLaughlin and a son, William Martin; brothers, Michael Martin, John Martin Jr., Frederick Martin, and William Martin; sisters, Darlene Martin, Phyllis Martin, and Bonnie Martin. She is survived by her companion, Lester Carl; children, Kevin, Gail, Shawn (Teresa), Colleen (Danielle), Ziibens, Star, Ceeqwan, and Trisha; grandchildren, Gabriel, Breanna, Adriel, Sophie, Addison, Skye, Lance, Arianna, Brittany, Alex, Justin, Jordan, Bella Malique, Dimas, Ayden, Cameron, Cecelia, Ayeanna, Kivanna, Elgin, Shine, Arianna, Elayna, Luis, and Caidence; great-grandchildren, Patience, Pierce, Lance Jr., Elias, Veahra, Makari, Landon, Alaya, Wewaasese, and Vayera; brothers, Steven Martin Sr., and Darwin Martin Sr., sisters, Betty Lou Nelson, and Cheryl Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Traditional Visitation will begin on Monday, January 16, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. at the Fond du Lac Cultural Center, 1713 Mizhakii Rd. and continue through the evening until the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. Arrangements are entrusted with Nelson Funeral Care of Cloque
