BSU and NTC to Celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Jan. 16

Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College's Center for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion will honor the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. on January 16 in celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Beginning at 12 p.m. in Hobson Memorial Union's Beaux Arts Ballroom on the Bemidji State campus, author and speaker Dante King will celebrate the late civil rights leader's legacy and explain what work is yet to be done relating to race relations in the United States. BSU's Blue Ice Jazz Band will also perform.

Refreshments will be provided.

Open to the public and media.
