Margaret Rose Register, age 57, of Brooks, MN, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, in Erskine, MN.

Margaret was born on March 26, 1965, in Red Lake, MN, to Judy Moreno and Francis Clark. At the age of three, she went to live with Stanley and Margaret Haugan who raised her as their own. She graduated from Bemidji, MN, and went on to attend BSU and NCTC, receiving her bachelor's degree. She worked at the BIA for many years and later in life worked for Walmart.

She was gifted with her hands and loved to sew clothes and do crafting projects. She looked forward to spending time with her family and spoiled her grandkids as much as possible. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her family as a loving, kind woman with a great sense humor.

Margaret was preceded in death by her biological parents, Judy Moreno and Francis Clark; her foster parents, Stanley and Margaret Haugan; daughter-in-law, Binaishee-quaynce Bellanger-Rook; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Danny Register; children: Maurice, Darren and Katie Cobenais; grandchildren: Jasmine, Liberty, Elizabeth, Lydia, Titan, Samantha; siblings: Marty (Dawn Loeffler) Cobenais, JoAnn (Lee) Anderson, Leonard (Michelle) Spears, Randy (Nancy) Haugan, Oris (Debbie) Haugan, John (Linda) Haugan; special niece, Amanda Haugan; sister-in-laws: Debbie Vegeto and Sharon (Joseph) Capricotto; as well as many other relatives and friends.

The wake will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, December 26, 2022, at the New Red Lake Center in Red Lake and continue until the service at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, with Pastor Tom Pollock officiating. Active casketbearers will be: Mike, Myron, Gary, TJ, John, Ron and David Cobenais, and Bill and Jim Roy. Honorary casketbearers will be all Margaret's female cousins.
