Francis James Kangas, Jr., "Tyke", age 53, of Cass Lake and the Bear Clan, unexpectedly started his journey to the spirit world on Friday, December 9, 2022, from his home. He was born August 27, 1969, in Le Sueur, MN the son of Clara (Keezer) and Francis James Kangas, Sr.

Tyke grew up in Cass Lake with his siblings and his parents. He loved anything outdoors. He enjoyed ricing, picking boughs, picking cranberries, hunting, and fishing. He loved spending time with his grandkids, wondering around Minneapolis with his grandson, Jeremiah, was a must when they visited the cities. Tyke was who the family would call to fix anything that needed attention. He loved family visits, joking and teasing with his goofy and sarcastic sense of humor. He was a handyman and could make a living doing so. Tyke was always quick to help where he could. He had a way of making each and every person in his life feel uniquely special. His contagious smile and laughter will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Tyke was the guy who was always "neutral" in the family and was always welcome at everyone's home. He always made sure mom and dad were taken care of and he drove them where they needed to go.

Those greeting Tyke in the spirit world are his uncle, Robert "Bob" Kangas; nieces, Crystal and Kree Kangas; brother, Joaquin Capatiane; and stepson, Edward Fairbanks.
