WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 9 PM CST THURSDAY...

WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches Thursday. For the Winter Weather Advisory, light snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to one inch through Wednesday evening.

WHERE...Portions of central, north central, northwest and west central Minnesota.

WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, from 3 AM to 9 PM CST Thursday. For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 3 AM CST

IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. Heavy snow rates will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning commute Thursday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
