Cornelius V. "Apollo" Whitefeather, Jr., age 61, travelled to the spirit world on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, in Pequot Lakes, MN.

Cornelius was born on July 21, 1961, in Red Lake, MN to Cornelius and Linda (Nopah) Whitefeather, Sr. He worked for the City of Minneapolis for many years. Cornelius was very athletic and excelled at football, basketball, wrestling and loved to lift weights. He was also a long distance runner and took first place in a marathon at the age of 16. He was a jokester and was always quick to laugh. He will be remembered by his family as a kind, wise, respectful man.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughters: Vania, Lavina, and Kachina Whitefeather; siblings: Carol (Ben Roybal III) Whitefeather, Corrinne Farkalun, Tim Whitefeather, Melissa Whitefeather, as well as many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Twyla Whitefeather, brothers: Cordell Whitefeather and Cornell Whitefeather; and his son, Cornelius "Tre" Whitefeather III.

The wake will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the Ponemah Boys & Girls Club and continue until the service on Sunday, December 11, 2022. Active casketbearers will be: Ben Roybal IV, Colin Roybal, Freddy LoneEagle, Tim Whitefeather, and Tony Wind. Burial will be at the Whitefeather Family Burial Grounds in Ponemah.
