Open: December 9, 2022 – Until filled

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Provide support advocacy, crisis intervention, information, access to resources for battered women and their children. Shifts will be primarily night (12:00am – 8am) and weekends. Reports to Director, part-time position; salary; DOQ

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Provide orientation to all new residents

• Provide crisis line intervention and supportive listening

• Provide information and referrals to appropriate resources regarding needs and choices of the battered women

• Willing/able to provide non-judgmental behavior

• Be respectful to all women and children

• Assist in on-going development of resource files and information

• Maintain safe and secure shelter.

• Provide department procedures for women exiting the Shelter

• Be respectful of coworkers; willing to share knowledge gained to help another learn

• Abide by confidentiality law at all times

• Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• GED/High School Diploma

• Knowledge and understanding of the effects of domestic abuse on women and children

• Must be able to work flexible hours

• Must be willing to provide on-call rotation

• Must adhere to Confidentiality, Data Privacy Act

• Must abide by the program's Code of Ethics

• Must submit to random drug testing

• Must have a valid Minnesota Driver's license and auto insurance

• Employment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug test and background check
