Mayo Clinic, which lowered executive pay during the first year of the pandemic, resumed raises in 2021. Some of the Rochester, Minn.-based health system's highest-ranking officials saw pay gains of more than 20%.
The Post Bulletin has a report on the pay increases, which were led by a 27% raise for Mayo CEO Dr. Gianrico Farrugia. His compensation climbed to $3.48 million in 2021, the most recent year for which data is available, from $2.74 million in 2020.
Other top executives also saw sizable pay hikes:
Chief Administrative Officer Jeff Bolton: $2.11 million (up 24%)
Dr. Kent Thielen, CEO of Mayo Florida campus: $1.79 million, up 20%
Dr. Richard Gray, CEO of Mayo Arizona campus: $1.78 million, up 26%

It’s interesting that he keeps his employees at 60% of Midwest comparable market but doesn’t hold himself to the same standard. So disheartening.

He must think he is doing a fabulous job..to bad they are so short of provider’s; maybe he should offer some of his increase to attract more providers! Enough said🙏🇺🇸
