Free Events on Tribal Colleges, Tribal Blanket Contest, and Indigenous Activism

November 29, 2022, Denver, Colo. – The American Indian College Fund has several upcoming events with a Native student focus that are free and open to the public to attend.

• Tribal College and University Fair: The annual Tribal College and University starts today, November 29, at 1pm MST. The College Fund will hold two more sessions on November 30 and December 2 at 1pm MST. Attendees can meet tribal college students and staff and learn about top programs and admissions.

• 2023 Tribal College Blanket Contest Webinar: The 2023 Tribal College Blanket Contest Webinar welcomes tribal college students to join a webinar hosted by the College Fund and Pendleton Woolen Mills outlining the steps needed to submit their artwork for the contest. The event is Friday, December 2, at 3 pm MST.

• Indigenous Methodologies: Decolonizing Your Research: Join the guest speakers, Ph.D. students Nicholet Deschine Parkhurst and Cecilia Marek, and Ph.D. Candidate Danielle Lucero as they discuss their use of Indigenous methodologies to guide their research in Indigenous digital activism to #decolonizing love & relationships to #Indigenousfeminist zine-making.
