Melvin George Burnette, age 69, started his journey to the spirit world on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from Serenity Living Solutions in Remer, MN. He was born in Cass Lake, MN, on June 12, 1953, the son of Emma (TeJohn) and John Burnette, Sr.

Melvin served in the U.S. Marines. He enjoyed his coffee, playing cribbage and bingo. He was an avid lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan. He liked visits from family and sitting outside. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those welcoming Melvin to the spirit world are his parents, Emma and John, Sr .; sisters, LaRayne Slack, Ramona Miller, Betty Burnette, Ellen Burnette; brother, Kenneth Burnette; and daughter, Jolene Wilson.

Those Melvin leaves behind to cherish his memory are his brother, Roger (Debra) Burnette of Cloquet, MN; sisters, Joann (Garry) Burnette of Federal Dam, MN, Irene Burnette of St. Louis Park, MN; one grandchild; and numerous other family members and friends.
