Michael Leonard Troxell, 51, of Rice Lake, MN, died on Monday, November 14, 2022 at his home in Rice Lake, MN.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rice Lake Community Center in Rice Lake, Minnesota. A wake will begin the evening before on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. and continue until the time of the service the next day. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.

Mike was born on June 4, 1971 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to Carolyn (Sagataw) and Leonard Troxell. When he was little, he would ride his Big Wheels all day along and even pack some snacks in the back. The family moved to Neenah, WI in 1976 and lived there until 1981 when they moved to Minneapolis, MN. It was there that Mike met Cheryl in 1994 and the two fell in love and started a family. Together, they moved north to the Rice Lake area in 2000. He began helping his father-in-law trapping in the woods. Mike was a jack of all trades. He worked at all sorts of jobs from cleaning and staining decks to working as a CNA. He loved Star Wars and rock and roll music, especially The Beatles and John Lennon. Mike was a devoted Packers Fan. He was proud of his German and his Potawatomi heritage.

He is survived by his children, Kara Jackson, Tyler Troxell, Quentin (Krista Pitkin), Michael Troxell, and Courtney Troxell; his better half of 27 years, Cheryl Thompson; his grandchild, Caylani Dakota and one coming in March; his mother and step-dad, Carolyn and George Auginaush; his father and step mom, Leonard and Elizabeth Troxell; his sisters, Julie (Anthony) Herbert, Michele Troxell, and Faye (Juana) Auginaush; his mother-in-law, Evelyn Thompson; his sisters-in-law, Carol Vik and Brenda Neeland; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other loved family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edger and Charlotte Sagataw and Leoanrd and Arlene Troxell; his father-in-law, Peter Thompson, Jr.; his cousins, Chad Harris, Sr. and Levi Sagataw; his aunts, Luane Sagataw, Josie Thunder, and Toni Doust; and his brothers-in-law, Peter Thompson III and Henry Neeland.

Casketbearers will be Tony Herbert, Brent Auginaush, Patrick Thompson, Gerald Herbert, Bruce Auginaush, and Michael Troxell.

Honorary Casketbearers will be Rodney Frye, Raymond Doust, Nick Miller, Mark Hvezda, Robert Beaulieu III, Linden Beaulieu, Eddy Sagataw, and All of Mike's other loved family and friends.
