Kaela Mareigh Neadeau, age 34, formerly of Red Lake, left us on November 9, 2022, at her home in Minneapolis.

Kaela was born on June 18, 1989, to Darla Neadeau and Kenneth Mills. She was raised by her adoptive parents, Edwina Neadeau and Charles "Chubby" Johns. Edwina and Chubby took her in when she was 18 months old and was adopted by them at the age of four. Kaela lived most of her life in Red Lake with her mom, Edwina. She graduated from Red Lake High School in 2007. After high school she started her first job as a lifeguard at the Thief River Falls Casino. She held various positions at the casino over the years and then began working at the Red Lake Casino as a hostess in the restaurant. In 2018, after her mom passed away, she moved to Minneapolis. She worked from home as a telemarketer.

Being a mother was one of Kaela's proudest moments in her life. She loved her boys more than anything, they were her everything, her world. Kaela loved kids. She helped raise all the kids in the family before becoming a mother herself. Tyrese Charles was her first baby. She was "Mama Kaya".

Kaela was a vibe, it was one of a kind. She loved to make people feel happy, she was everyone's "Hype girl". She would leave little inspirational quotes all over for you to find. She loved astrology, conspiracies, music, poetry, and animals. She had an impact on many lives and she will be greatly missed by so many.

Family that are waiting to greet her are: her parents: Edwina Neadeau and Charles "Chubby" Johns; brother, Larry Neadeau; grandparents: James "Jimmy Crowe" Neadeau, Jr. and Charlene Neadeau; great grandparents: James "Jim" and Katie Neadeau, Sr.; aunts: Deloris Good, Geraldine Neadeau, Alivia Neadeau; uncles: Royce Sayers, Sr., Francis "Buffalo" Neadeau, Myron "Juice" Neadeau, Sr., Douglas Neadeau; the love of her life, Julian DeMarrias, Sr.; her best friend, Sally "her critter pie" May; great nieces Jolie Ana Cobenais and Chrissa Neadeau.

She will be remembered by: her sons: Julian DeMarrias, Jr., DreShaun Neadeau and Kyrese Neadeau; sisters: Laurie Neadeau, Linda "Neadeau" Lussier, Patricia Neadeau, Ruth Neadeau, Mary Beth Neadeau, Casondra Neadeau, Sandra Cain; brothers: Gary Neadeau, James Neadeau and Antonio Neadeau; special aunts: Allura May and Karen Neadeau; uncle, Leon Neadeau; special brother: Aaron Stenseng; as well as many other relatives and friends.

The wake will begin at Noon on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at the New Red Lake Center in Red Lake and continue until the service at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 19, 2022, with Father John Christianson officiating. Active casketbearers will be: Josh Neadeau, Jordan Neadeau, Tyrell Desjarlait, Tyrese Desjarlait, Ian Veaux, Alexander King, Ryan Neadeau, Cody Cook, and alternates: Jerrik "Pudge" DeMarrias, Jarrott "Moo" DeMarrias, Patrick Desjarlait, Jr., and Antonio Neadeau. Honorary casketbearers will be: Janna Desjarlait, Dezirae Desjarlait, Diggy Johnson, Holly Johnson, Tessy Johnson, Karron Stenseng, Jessica Jolei Thompson, Sonnie Barrett, Tierra Cook, Daylene Fajardo, Kim Schoenborn, Khrisha Schoenborn, Kaylee Johnson, Shayna Roberts, Latesha Lussier, Hannah Gurneau, Hilliary Gurneau, Sha'Kota Spears, Kayanna Schoenborn, Kelsie Schoenborn, Amber Brun, Terrie Lussier, Casondra Neadeau, Sandra Cain and Anthony Patterson, Jr., DeeKan Spears and Charles "Chubbs" Spears.
