Beverly Linda Head, age 66, of Bemidji, MN, passed away peacefully and journeyed to the spirit world, on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND, with her loving family by her side.

A wake will begin on Tuesday, November 15, at 12:00 p.m. at the new Red Lake Community Center following with funeral services on Wednesday, November 16 at 1:00 p.m. at the new Red Lake Community Center. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Beverly was born in Red Lake, MN to Nathan Head and Rose (McKenzie) Head. She attended St. Mary’s Mission School and she graduated from Red Lake High School in 1974. Beverly attended Bemidji State University prior to beginning her lifetime career working for Indian Health Service. Beverly worked at several IHS facilities throughout her career including the Bemidji Area Office, Red Lake IHS, Billings, Montana IHS, Sisseton, South Dakota IHS, and White Earth IHS. She retired in 2018 after working 39 years for IHS.

During her lifetime Beverly enjoyed going to the casinos and visiting with her friends. She enjoyed watching sporting events especially football and basketball. She also enjoyed shopping at thrift shops to buy gifts for her family and friends. She had a special knack for finding the nicest gifts. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her beloved son, Keith, and her grandsons, Keith, Jr. and John.

She was preceded in death by her father, Nathan Head, her mother, Rose (McKenzie) Head, brothers Nathan (Joe) Head, Jr., Roger (Bucky) Head, and Roderick (Deacon) Head; sisters, Glendoris Smith, Barbara Dolson and Celeste Beaulieu, brothers in law Francis (Buffalo) Neadeau and Charles (Sonny) Dolson.

She is survived by her son, Keith Head, grandsons, Keith Jr. and John, brother, Marvin Head, sisters, Karen Neadeau, Gertrude Head, Mary Head and Ramona (Joe) Plumer and several nieces and nephews.

The Pallbearers will be her nephews, Daniel and Francis Neadeau, Steve, Joe, and Riley Plumer, Charles and Jeffrey Dolson, David, Darin and Nathan Head Her honorary pallbearers will be Susan Graves, Jo Dudley, Merri Barrett, Beverly Chastek, Dawn Branchaud, Priscilla Fairbanks, and Salena Beasley.
