Albert F. Kingbird, Giniw-gii zhig "Eagle Day", of the Eagle Clan, age 64, of Redby, MN, travelled to the spirit world on Saturday, November 5, 2022, in Redby, surrounded by his family.

Albert was born on March 10, 1958, in Red Lake, MN, to Johnson and Faye Kingbird. Albert was one of a kind. He loved singing and going to pow wows. He liked to play horseshoes and cruise with his family and friends. He was also a WWE wrestling fan.

He will be remembered by his brothers - Royce (Stephanie) Kingbird, Vernon (Mavis) Kingbird, James Kingbird; sisters - Martha Smith and Pauline Hamlin; sons - Albert Kingbird, Jr., Eddy Fairbanks; daughters - Amanda Richardson and Tina Turney; grandkids - Janelle Ramsey and Anthony Howard; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Those greeting him in the spirit world are: his parents - Johnson and Faye Kingbird; brother - Mark Kingbird; sisters - Susie King and Mary Kingbird; son - Richard "Sonnyboy" Howard; an infant son and daughter; maternal grandparents - William Kingbird and Edith Hawk; paternal grandparents - Paul Kingbird and Estella Martin; and many other relatives.

The wake will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at the Redby Community Center in Redby and continue until the service at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, November 11, 2022, with Allen Hardy as spiritual leader. Active casketbearers will be: James "Jimboy" Kingbird, Jesus "Chuy" Reyes, Avery Kingbird, Matt Kingbird, Cedric "Slim" Barrett, Benjamin Kingbird, Jason King, Peter King, James "Yum" Kingbird, Rob Kingbird and Dallas Kingbird. Honorary casketbearers will be: Dahl and Mary Cook, Stan Cook, Lanae Cook, Ashley Cook, Faye King, Willy Strong, Marge Hawk, TeAnna Jones, JR Bellanger, Norman Goggleye, Ringo Smith and Lorraine Olson.
