PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Red Lake Ombimindwaa program is seeking a full-time Family Group Decision Making Facilitator to provide support to the Family Group Decision Making (FGDM) process in home and community based settings to Red Lake Relatives on homelands and in urban areas. FGDM is a process that is family driven not system driven and the goal is to enhance family engagement and promote safety and well-being of children and families. Assist in connecting to and coordinating appropriate services for relatives. Maintain accurate detailed reports and records. Ability to provide support and a willingness to learn our intergenerational family wellness practice model based on Anishinaabe values: love, humility, courage, respect, honesty, truth, and wisdom. Attend trainings as needed and other duties as assigned. This position is full-time w/benefits. Reports to the Family Group Decision Making Coordinator. Must be available for some evening and weekend work as needed. Salary; DOQ.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Higher education diploma preferred or equivalent experience

• Must have a valid Minnesota driver's license and insurance

• FGDM training or willing to train upon hire

• Ability to communicate in a non-judgmental good way

• Excellent organizational skills and maintain strict confidentiality

• Demonstrate excellent communication, listening, and writing skills

• Ability to manage family and complex group dynamics

• Familiarity of the Red Lake families and community or willing to learn

• Must be in good and respected community standing

• Must be able to work both independently and as a team with the ability to ask for support as needed
