Craig Lewis Graves, Sr., Eagle Clan, age 48, travelled to the spirit world on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Red Lake Hospital.

Craig was born on July 31, 1974, in Minneapolis, MN, to the late Vincent and Donna (White) Graves. He went to school in Ponemah and Red Lake and was involved in the boxing program. Craig worked at Warroad Casino for a time and then went on to work for Red Lake Transportation for several years. Craig liked to watch any sport, play video games and collected baseball and football cards. Craig loved spending time with his twin brother, Brian, and loved his mother’s cooking.

Craig is survived by his mother, Donna Graves; son, Craig (Shianne) Graves, Jr., brothers: his twin, Brian, Michael, Jonathan, Wendell (Jerilyn) Graves; sisters: Michelle (Keith) Graves and Jerilyn Graves; grandchildren: Zeppelin and Halen Graves; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Those greeting him in the spirit world are: his father, Vincent Graves; maternal grandparents: George and Mary White; paternal grandparents: Joseph and Genevieve Graves; as well as many aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

The wake will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at the Ponemah Boys & Girls Club and continue until the service at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, November 7, 2022, with Pastor Tom Pollock officiating. Active casketbearers will be: Brian Graves, Sr., Alex Cloud, Doug White, Vincent White, Sr., Wendell Graves, Sr., Craig Graves, Mike Smith, Mike Graves, Sr., and alternate, Kevin Cook, Jr. Honorary casketbearers will be: his grandchildren, the Bemidji Dialysis Unit Members and Red Lake Transport Drivers. Burial will be at the Graves Family Burial Grounds in Ponemah at a later date.
