Road Construction CSAH 20 - Birchmont Beach Road

The first phase of reconstructing CSAH 20 is complete. The section of Birchmont Beach Road from the State Park entrance east to Hazelwood Road is now open to traffic. The road surface will remain gravel until next year and work will continue in this section so motorists are urged to use caution and drive accordingly.

The second phase will begin on Monday, October 17. The section of Birchmont Beach Road from Hazelwood east to Pincherry Road will be closed to all traffic. Residents within the work zone will have access to Tall Pines Road. Those that do not reside in the work zone must use the detour or find an alternate route. Work on phase two will continue until winter.

Beltrami County Highway Department urges motorists to use caution when traveling in and around all work zones.
