t 5:00 p.m. at the Bdecan Presbyterian Church, rural Tokio with a time of prayer and remembrance at 7:00 p.m. The procession to Tokio will leave on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. from the City Plaza, Devils Lake.

Funeral Services will be on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bdecan Church with burial to follow in the Bdecan Presbyterian Cemetery.

Jolene K. Littlewind, "Wakayaja Ob Un Win" (Woman With The Children) of Tokio ND passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at her home. She was 47 years old.

Jolene "Joeley" Kay Littlewind born July 13, 1975, in Devils Lake, ND was the youngest child of the late John Littlewind Jr and the late Joan Redfox. She attended the St. Michael Tribal School and then went to Warwick Public School. Jolene then continued her education at Candeska Cikana Community College to get her GED in 2001. After receiving her GED, she attended college at United Tribes in Bismarck. Jolene and her sons continued to live in Bismarck for a few years before moving home and starting work for the Spirit Lake Tribe.

Jolene worked for the Spirit Lake Tribe with various programs including the summer youth program, HIP program and was a member of the Tribal Health Board and the Election Committee. In 2015, due to her declining health, Jolene had to retire.

Jolene enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandkids, they were her world. She was a great supporter of any event with the youth programs of Spirit Lake Tribe, which she loved to take the kids to and watch. She also enjoyed visiting her friends and made herself known with her funny, crazy, conversations. She loved to cook and bake. Everyone loved her famous bread.

She loved her "babies" and her favorites were Jaxon Gourd, Koko Littlewind, Wrenlee and Koko Littlewind and Kaisley Redfox, Ariya Tikanye, Declan LaVallie, Ariiya Redfox and Khloe Prouty and Mykal "Honey" Littlewind.

Jolene is survived by her sons: Christian "Mokes" IronRoad, Antone LaVallie, and Cleveland "C.J." Ironheart; adoptive father David Longie aka "Big Dave"; adoptive daughters Caley Littlewind, Shanell Paul and Brooke Redfox; siblings Karen, Justine, and June Littlewind, Jessica McKay Jackie and Ashley Hunt; brother Jay Littlewind; grandchildren Keniah Eagle (Mister), Nathen IronRoad, Major IronRoad, Mykal and Keaston (Misun) Littlewind, Carter Jon Iron Heart, Issac Woodhull, Declan LaVallie, Micah, JoNae and Joelee Mead, Addison, Avery and Ali LaVallie, Gavriel, Kassiel, Wrenlee, Koko and McKenna Lou Littlewind, Kaisley Redfox, Athena and Julian Littlewind, Marlana, Roman and Greyson Littlewind, Ryland, Klolita, Alden Redfox, Dacina, Kye Jackson, Rocco Hunt, and Marshall Hunt; grandmothers Estelle Sherman Cavanaugh and Cora Rose Sherman; aunts and uncles Louie Garcia, Sharon Georgeson, Alberta Redfox, Gerri Redfox, Dallas, Raybert, Newlyn, Harlen and Waylon Littlewind, Donelda Volante, Gaylene Littlewind, Yvonne, and Louie DuBois, Germaine and Darren Demarce, Onna and Carmen Littlewind, Delphine Cavanaugh; nieces and nephews Summer Dawn Soody (Dan), Sky, Kiana (Skieler), and Austin (Brittany) LaVallie, (son) Antone LaVallie V, Ira WoodHull, Cleveland IronHeart, Spring Meade, Charice, Katrice, Damingo Littlewind, Joliese and Ira Hunt, Eric Hunt, Carmelo, Cutlino and Lauren Longie, Odessa and Sloan Guy, Jace, Caley Littlewind, Trajin OneBar, Gavin, Jerome Kristen, Jenessa, Jay Littlewind Jr (brother), Kaysen Redfox; kids she raised as her own Christen IronRoad, Antone and Austin LaVallie, Cleveland IronHeart, Jace Littlewind, Flip and Jr. Chaske, Conrad Longie, Abraham "AB" Comer, Kyle and Jake Redfox, the late Michael Meade, Travor McDonald, Zane Ross and Jeffery LeftBear and many, many cousins on the LIttlewind and Redfox sides of the family.

She was preceded in death by her parents John Littlewind Jr. and Joan Redfox; brother Jeremy Redfox; uncles Archie Redfox Jr., France Tikayne, Leroy Redfox, Robert Redfox, Melvin Gene Paul, Ambrose Jr. Littlewind, Alfred, Cliford, Silvester, and Eugene Littlewind; aunts Hilda Garcia, Annie Redfox, Elizabeth Redfox, Marium Redfox, Louella and Doris Paul, Lavina Littlewind, Mareen Littlewind, Sandra Littlewind, Karen Paul, Etta Paul, Marla and Marshal Littlewind, Carol Olsen Littlewind; grandparents John and Irene Littlewind, Archie and Gertrud Redfox, Joseph "Grampsey" and Martha Littlewind, Benadict and Rose Sherman; cousins Med, Mash Redfox, Mark Lufkins, Tom, John, and Randy Tikayne, Archie Adam Redfox, Clint Georgeson, Michelle and Klo Redfox; triplets Michelle, Mary and Melissa Littlewind, Joanna Dubois, Mitchell Littlewind, Rocky Littlewind, Waylon Shaw, Tobis Shaw and many other beloved relatives.
