Confederation College Hosts CIP Tour

CIP Tour Brings 11 Ontario Colleges to Northwestern Ontario

THUNDER BAY, ON, October 6, 2022 – Confederation College hosted the annual College Information Program (CIP) Tour last night on their Thunder Bay campus, giving prospective students the opportunity to explore 11 different Ontario colleges all in one place.

Over 150 people attended the event. It was the first in-person CIP event since before the pandemic. Confederation College departments and faculty set up interactive booths for prospective students to learn about their programs or services and allow students to get a feel for the type of projects they would potentially be working on. Professor Chris VonBargen did a live demonstration of the college's new 3D scanner, completing a 3D rendering of a volunteer.

The CIP tour offers anyone considering college, the opportunity to speak with college representatives, ask questions, and learn more about the unique programs only offered through Ontario Colleges. Students received material containing information on how and when to apply, campus life, financial aid and more.
