Karen Ann Longie, 54 of Fort Totten ND was born on November 4, 1967 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake ND and started her Journey into eternal paradise on Saturday October 1, 2022 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks ND surrounded by loving family, who were at her side.

The Wake Services for Karen will be on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at the Tekakwitha Center, St. Michael ND beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. The Procession to St. Michael will leave on Thursday from the old WalMart at 4:00 p.m.

Final Review and Funeral Services will be on Friday, October 7, 2022 also at the Tekakwitha Center at 10:00 a.m. Cremation will take place and Karen will be laid to rest with her husband Clayton Longie Sr. at St. Ann's Cemetery in Belcourt ND at a later date.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Longie, Clayton Longie Jr., DakotaH Bull, Delson Bull, Andrew Bull, Trevor St. John, Scott Bull, James Bull and Jesse Bull.

Honorary Bearers and life long friends, Charris Smit, Kevin Mint, Mark Matheny, Lucille Martin and Victor Lancelotta and her many dear nieces and nephews.

Karen was the daughter of Clayton Dale Bull and Ramona Peltier Bull. She grew up on the Spirit Lake Nation and attended school at Fort Totten Community School. While in school, she participated in a Jazz Group, was a cheerleader, was quite good at Chess and was part of a Wildlife Club. She was always competing with her brothers.

Karen met her future husband at a bar in Minnewaukan and she and Clayton Longie Sr. were united in marriage on April 22, 1993. They established their home in Fort Totten and shared many years of marriage, life, love and the blessings of a family.

Karen enjoyed going to the different casinos, playing pinochle and whist with friends and family. She also enjoyed arts and crafts. She was an avid collector of Elvis Presley memorabilia. She loved listening to music such as Rod Stewart, The Cars, Elvis Presley, Freddy Fender, Metallica, Bruno Mars and various other artists.

Karen loved spending time with her grandchildren, painting and doing arts and crafts with them. She loved going on long walks and shopping. Karen loved her family with all her heart.

Karen's loving family include her precious children Clayton Longie Jr., Brandon Longie, Cassey Longie, Sierra Longie and Alice "Oscar" Longie; grandchildren Jack Moore, Dallas Moore, and Maria Moore; brothers Lawrence (Valarie) Bull, Alex Bull, James (Lynessa) Bull, Clyde Bull, Jesse Bull, Bobby Joe Bull, Bobby Lee Bull, Derick (Starla) Bull; sisters Patsy Bull-Owlboy, Mary Bruce, Susan Bull, Julia Fox, Angie Bull, Bonnie Bull and Sheila Bull, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clayton Longie Sr., daughter Elise Bull, parents Clayton and Ramona Bull, brother Clayton Bull Jr., sister Rose Burkhard, nieces Gena Blackbird and Holly Lenoir, nephew Clayton Blackbird, uncles, aunties, cousins and life long friends Linus LaFountain and Vincent Lenoir. 04/1967
