Timothy A. Diver

Timothy "Timmy" A. Diver, age 60 of Cloquet, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. He was born June 26, 1962, in Cloquet; the son of Melvin Defoe and Marilyn Carpenter. Tim was a band member of the Fond du Lac Reservation. He graduated from Denfeld High School in Duluth, MN. He was a self-employed handyman and ran his own painting business. Tim enjoyed golfing, playing bingo and keno, and was a die-hard Vikings fan. He especially loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Carpenter; grandson, Makiiy Diver; granddaughters, Asiniiwikwezens Barney, and Niinimoshe Barney; and numerous aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, Robin Diver; father, Melvin Defoe; children, Tim Boberg, Stuart Diver, Brook (Chris) Gabrielson, Christina Diver, Joshua Barney, Dominic Diver, Ashley Barney, Jacob (Brooklyn) Barney and Jordan Diver; brothers, William Carpenter and Michael LaFave; uncle, Charlin Diver; and aunt, Eleanor "Ching" LaFave; and numerous grandchildren.

A Traditional Wake will begin at 5:30 P.M. on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at the Fond du Lac Cultural Center and continue until the 10:00 a.m. Tradition Funeral. Interment service will follow at the New Holy Family Cemetery. Arrangements are with Nelson Funeral Care of Cloquet.
