Rolanda Jean "Roe" Iceman, Giniwgwanens "Little Golden Eagle Feather", age 41, of Ponemah, MN, travelled to the spirit world on Thursday, September 15, 2022, in Fargo, ND.

Rolanda was born on November 22, 1980, in Red Lake, MN, to Mardel (Kindbird) and Roland Iceman, Sr. She made her home in Ponemah and worked at Seven Clans Casino. Rolanda was always the life of the party and you could usually hear her laugh before you saw her. She was a kindhearted person who made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. She liked listening to country and R&B music and watching her favorite crime shows, NCIS and Law & Order. She loved playing Candy Crush, cards, dice and liked trying her luck at the casino every now and then. Above all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her kids and other relatives.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Lydia Nelson, Tony Nelson, Jr., and Dacia Nelson; mother, Mardel Iceman; sisters: Zorana Iceman, Zenaida (Larry) Iceman; brother, Roland Iceman, Jr.; the father of her children, Tony Nelson, Sr.; significant other, Keith Roy; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Those greeting her in the spirit world are: her father, Roland Iceman, Sr.; brother, Conrad Kingbird; nieces: Alilyonna Iceman and Shelby Iceman; special brother, Delywn Cloud, Sr.; maternal grandparents: Sarah (Horton) and Fred Kingbird, Sr. and paternal grandparents: Alma (Spears) and Robert Iceman.

The wake will start at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, September 19, 2022, at the Ponemah Boys & Girls Club in Ponemah and continue until the service at Noon on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. Zac Earley will be the spiritual leader. Active casketbearers will be: Cheyenne Kingbird, Travis Martin, Kelly Iceman, Sr., Larry Johnson, Tony Nelson, Sr., Spencer Iceman, Roland Iceman, III, and Elroy Iceman. Honorary casketbearers will be: Donna Whitefeather, Valerie Stillday, Kristie Iceman, Theran Iceman, Ariel Roy, Cherilyn Johnson, Kenny Roy, and Lisa Johnson.
