January 11, 1953 - September 15, 2022

Gerald Leslie Reynolds Sr. "Makade Makwa," age 69, of Cloquet, Minnesota died on Thursday, September 15, 2022, under hospice care at his home. He was born on January 11, 1953, to Eugene Raymond and Evelyn Marie (Benjamin) Reynolds in Cloquet. Gerald was a member of the Fon Du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. Throughout his career, he held positions with the furnace factory, Oj's, Big Buck Casino, and later, Black Bear Casino. Gerald enjoyed playing Bingo, Keno, and cribbage. He liked to drive around and was always on the move. He was passionate about music whether it was pow-wow, oldies, country, or especially Elvis. Gerald is remembered by his children, Nikki (Jerome) Harris, Gerald Reynolds Jr., Julie Reynolds (Nick Ammesmaki), Jason Petite, Janelle (Melvin) Barney, Jaimie Petite Sr., Jarvis Paro (Margaret DeFoe); siblings, Irma (Ralph) Stein, Eugene (Gerri) Reynolds, Maryls (Terry) Whitetree, George (Dawn) Reynolds, Darlene Diver; 23 grandchildren; special grandson, Alijah Petite; 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dean, Ernest, Dave, Alvin, and Darrell Reynolds; and sisters, Karen and Mary Diver.
