Dustin Lee Perkins, age 42, Pine Marten Clan, of Warroad, MN, travelled to the spirit world on Sunday, August 28, 2022.

Dustin was born on July 23, 1980, in Bemidji, MN, to Gloria (Perkins) and Kenneth Johnson. He grew up in Ponemah, MN, and lived in Warroad, MN, where he worked at Seven Clans Casino. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed being at home and loved spending as much time with his children and grandchildren as possible. Recently, he had taken up playing pool and was an excellent cook. He lived life to the fullest and wasn’t afraid of anything.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Nicky Whitefeather, Miley Whitefeather and Jada Perkins; grandchildren: Valerie Martin, Haisley Martin, December Whitefeather, Cedrick Martin, Jr., and Carson Martin; siblings: Darren (Jessica) Perkins and Billie Perkins; special sister, Nancy Hardy; nieces, Cathleen Nelson, Carrie Iceman, Samantha Iceman and Libby Perkins; nephews: Herb (Amelia Benais) Nelson, III and Quentin (Darren Cook Jr.) Nelson; great niece, Zariah Brown and great nephew, Zylan Brown; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Dustin was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Gloria Johnson; daughter, Taylor Whitefeather and brother, Dwight Perkins.

The wake will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the Ponemah Boys & Girls Club and continue until the service at 10:00 A.M., on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, with Allen Hardy as spritiual leader. Active casketbearers will be: Torey Brown, Casey Perkins, Cedrick Martin, Sr., Robert Johnson, Jr., and Brett Dow, Tyrone Dow with Herb Nelson and Antonio Whipps as alternates. Honorary casketbearers will be: Dustin’s family, friends, and Seven Clans Casino co-workers. Burial will be at the Johnson Family Burial Grounds in Ponemah.
