Nicole Marie Lajeunesse, age 38, of the Bear Clan and Bemidji, MN, started her spiritual journey on Sunday, August 28, 2022, from Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. Nicole was born on February 11, 1984, in Red Lake, MN, the daughter of Karen (Benais) and Alan Lajeunesse, Sr.

Nicole grew up and attended school in Red Lake and Clearbrook, MN. She worked at Seven Clans Casino as a vault cashier and a security guard. She loved being around friends and family, especially her babies. Nicole was very loving and cared about helping anyone. She always had a smile on her face. Nicole enjoyed beading, traveling thru the United States to Pow Wows where she danced "Fancy Shawl". Nicole loved spending time with her friends, family, and children.

Those Nicole will be greeted by in the spirit world are her cousin, Cheryl Smith; uncles, Bob Benais, Albert Benais, Jr .; and grandparents, Josephine and Albert Benais, Sr.

Those left behind to cherish the memory of Nicole are her parents, Karen and Alan Lajeunesse, Sr .; son, Andrew Dow; daughters, Lailah Dow, Zoey Jourdain, Azaelia Lajeunesse, Lucianna Strong; brothers, Alan Lajeunesse, Jr., Luke Lajeunesse, Eagle Lajeunesse; grandparents, Judy and Lawrence Lajeunesse; close cousins, Danielle Valley, Derek Smith, Amber, David, and Joey Lajeunesse; 1 granddaughter, Eden King; and numerous other family members and friends.

An overnight wake for Nicole will begin Friday, September 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. and continue until her Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 3:00., all to be held at the Little Rock Community Center in Red Lake, MN. Nicole's Spiritual Advisor will be Allen Hardy. Those helping to lay Nicole to rest will be Lealand Smith, Bryan Lussier, Jr., Terry Benais, Giles Strong, Josh Stately, and Trevor Schoenborn. Honorary pallbearers are Jane Benais, Shirley Benais, Cody Packineau, Tiffany Packineau, Amber Lajeunesse, Leah Cook, Rachel Greene, January Johnson, and Sky Lussier.
