Marlene Margaret LaRoque, age 90 Journeyed to the Spirit World on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at her residence. She was born on January 31, 1932 in Naytahwaush, Minnesota the daughter of Frank Murray and Izsola Warren. Marlene was an enrolled member of the White Earth Tribe and employed as a warehouse worker for P.P.L.

Marlene loved spending time with her loved ones, growing up she enjoyed going dancing with her sisters at the Flowing Well, tending to her father’s garden picking raspberries and she also loved taking walks, garage sales, doing her crosswords, playing bingo and going to the casino. She is dearly cherished, endlessly loved and forever will be remembered.

Joined in the Spirit World by her husband: Orville LaRoque; son: Byron; her father: Frank Murray; mother: Izsola Warren Murray; her sisters: Ellen, Frances, Ruth, Irene, Vaughn; her brothers: Aubin, Byron, and Frank Jr .; grandsons: Roger, James and Jayvon.

Survived by her children: Robin (Jodie), Catherine (James), Merle (Darrell), Pamela, Irene (William) and her special niece: Debra Lumbar; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many other loving relatives and friends.

An all-night visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 beginning at 6:00 P.M. at the Church of Blessed Kateri in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Church of Blessed Kateri in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Shawn Phillips will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Curtis LaRoque, Anthony LaRoque, Matthew LaRoque, Darrell Johnson Jr. William Smith Jr. James Summers, Aaron Summers, Robin LaRoque

Interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, Minnesota assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
