Jabez "Makwa Gaabo" Bellanger

October 1, 2001 - July 26, 2022

Jabez Ivan Bellanger, "Makwa Gaabo" which means "Standing Bear", of the Bear Clan, journeyed to the spirit world on July 26, 2022. Jabez was born on October 1, 2001 t,o Thomas Bellanger and Odessa Jenkins. Jabez was a loving and dedicated father, and he was at his happiest when he was with his babies which were his pride and joy. He also loved being with his friends and family. Jabez will forever be remembered as a caring father, son, grandson, nephew and friend.

Jabez will be sadly missed by his father; Thomas, his mother; Odessa, siblings; Jayde (Ohe), Jaylena and Nakeyah. His son; Cedar and daughter; Maia, nephew; Eli, stepmother; Jaimie, his "Auntie Mom"; Cindy, special brothers; Robert, son and Keenan. He will also be missed by his grandfather Thomas, grandmother, Betty, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends who were all lucky enough to know him.

Those who Jabez will be joining again in the spirit world are; his grandmother, Cheryl DeFoe, Auntie Kimberly Bellanger and Auntie Renee Vannett.

A Traditional Visitation will begin 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2022, at the Fond du Lac Reservation Head Start Gymnasium. The Traditional Funeral Service will begin 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022, also at the Fund du Lac Head Start Gymnasium. Interment service will follow at the Sawyer Cemetery. Arrangements are with Nelson Funeral Care of Cloquet.
