Gloria "Joanie" Neadeau, age 73, of Red Lake, MN, passed away on Wednesday, July 20,2022, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, surrounded by her family.

Joanie was born on December 12, 1948, in Red Lake, MN, to Katie Martin and Thomas Hill. She was raised in Red Lake and then moved to Minneapolis where she lived for many years, returning to Red Lake in 1990. Gloria had an adventurous spirit and was always on the go. She was adored by her nieces and nephews and was always being invited along on trips to pow wows, casinos (Las Vegas was her favorite!) and across the United States to see family and visit new places. She liked listening to country music, watching movies on LMN, and was a great cook. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Sam, Tony (Meghan), Henry (Kelly), Connie (George) and special son, Terrance Neadeau, Jr., numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Joanie was preceded in death by her husband, Konrad Neadeau; daughters-in-law: Lynettte Hill and Sheila Hill; her parents; siblings: Alice Hill, Mary White, Julia Kingbird, Rosellen LaGou, Margaret Sumner, Darlene Lussier, and Violet Roy; brothers: Tilford, Thomas and Leonard Hill; grandsons: Carlos Hill and Keenan, Jr .; nephew, Stuart Sumner and numerous other nieces and nephews.

The wake will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the Little Rock Center and continue until the service at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, July 25, 2022, with Father John Christianson officiating. Active casketbearers will be: Keenan Beaulieu, Sr., Henry Hill, Jr., Anthony Hill, Jr., Devin Sumner, Terrance Neadeau, Jr., Jamal Farjardo, Keith Neadeau, Jr. and Keith Sumner with alternates: Josh Neadeau and Nick Sumner. Honorary casketbearers will be her granddaughters and her nieces. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake.
