Marion Alice Wind, age 62, "Anemikididibise-Benasekwe" which means Rolling Thunder Woman of the Bear Clan and from Cass Lake, Minnesota began her journey to the spirit world on Friday, July 15th, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.

Marion was born January 23rd, 1960, in Cass Lake, MN, the daughter of Roberta Jane (Holstein) and Alvin John "Bunny" Wind, Sr. Marion was known for her baked bread, her hand sewn blankets, and her chocolate oatmeal cookies were loved and will be missed. Everyone was her friend, she told them always that she loved them. Marion loved to go to the casino, collect treasures (junk) and was "Grandma" to everyone. She liked watching Pull Tabs Lives on Facebook, playing UNO and Yahtzee. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball and traveling to softball tournaments. Marion loved spending time with her grandchildren; she used to take them and her nieces and nephews sledding when they were younger and loved to catch their basketball games when she could.

Family that Marion is reunited with are her parents, Roberta and Alvin Wind, Sr .; sisters, Dora "Dodie" Wind, Glenda Bryan, and Dawn "Bebe" Wind; brother, Martin Wind; nephew, Derek "Deke" Brown; granddaughter, Allyson Wind; lifetime partner, Ervin Sargent, aunties, uncles, and friends.

She leaves behind her son, Donald Eugene Wind, Sr .; sisters, Jennie (Mark) Reyes, Jody Wind, and Tonya (Terry) O'Connor; brothers, Alvin "John" (Freda) Wind, Jr., Michael Morris, Roger Bryan, Darryl Clark, Arnold "Barney" Kingbird, Jr .; auntie, Ruth Thompson, great uncle, Eugene "Dopey" Budreau; uncle, Clyde Morgan; her fur babies, Eevee and Toto; grandchildren, Shayne and Kaydon Wind, Daniaiah Goodwin, Mariah Roy, Donald Wind, Jr., Ervin (Autumn) Swan, Jasmine and Leigh-Ann Swan; great grandson, Sora Swan; great granddaughters, Danielle Fairbanks and Nindaya Goodwin, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

The wake for Marion will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20th and continue until her 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Friday, July 22nd, 2022, all being held at the Veteran's Memorial Building in Cass Lake, MN. Pallbearers for Marion will be Martin Wind, Sr., Jarell Jacobs, Derek Wind, Alvin Wind III, Daniel "Boomer" Jackson, Arnold S. Kingbird, Bruce Hislaw and Dave Mitchell. Alternate pallbearers are Roman Brown, Mario Reyes, Sr., George Jacobs, Mark Reyes, Jr., and Michael Reyes, Sr. Her honorary pallbearers are Emmy Staples, Amber Woodfield, Summer Woodfield, Addie Woodfield, Julie Jones, Leah Jacobs, Beverly Jacobs, Diane Oshea, Linda Fisherman, Julio Staples, all her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Interment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery at Cass Lake, MN following her Friday services.
