Amanda Sue Kingbird, age 33, Zaagajiwe Gaabawi meaning "standing over the hill" of the Eagle Clan and Red Lake, MN started her spiritual journey on Monday, June 27, 2022, from Red Lake, MN. Amanda was born September 7, 1988, in Bemidji, MN the daughter of Vicky Spears and Willard Kingbird, Sr.

Amanda was raised by her mom, Vicky Spears and stepdad Douglas Jourdain. She went to Red Lake ALC, Bemidji High School, and Kelliher Schools. She worked at 7 Clans Casino Red Lake, Redby New Beginnings, and Northern Winds Treatment Center in Redby, MN. She loved spending time with her children, friends, and family, cruising around with friends, and doing her nails. She enjoyed beading, coloring and do artwork, and playing keno. Amanda was always willing to help anyone out. She will be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Those Amanda will be joining again in the spirit world are great-grandparents, Samuel and Audrey White; grandparents, Ralph Spears, Sr., Lucille and Jack Kingbird, Sr .; uncles, Ralph (Sonny) Spears, Jr. and Gerald (Runty), Harold, Ronald, and Edmund Kingbird; aunties, Arlene Spears, Pamela Pierce, Donna Lewis; and niece, Delaney Jade Spears.

Those left behind to cherish Amanda's memory are her sons, Connor Kingbird, Taylor, Jayden, and Jordyn Beaulieu; daughters, Jazmyn Kingbird and Kaycee Beaulieu; mom, Vicky (Douglas) Spears of Red Lake; dad, Willard (Andrea) Kingbird, Sr. of Bemidji; grandma, Virginia Spears; brothers, Willard Kingbird, Jr., Samuel Kingbird, Sr., Kendrick Kingbird, David Kingbird, Kelvin Kingbird; sisters, Marie (Ryan) Spears and Janae Kingbird; aunties, Doris and Phyllis Kingbird, Rosetta and Tonya Spears, and Brenda White; special aunties, Linda Zeller, Paula Rossbach and family, and Tinka Bloedow; and uncles, Nick spears, Curtis and Darrell Kingbird, and Jack Kingbird, Jr.

A two-night wake for Amanda will begin on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. and continue until her Monday, July 4, 2022, 10:00 a.m. service all to be held at the Ponemah Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah, MN. Amanda's spiritual advisor will be Allen Hardy. Those helping to lay Amanda to rest will be Daniel Johnson, Bill Thunder, Perry White, Jr., Scott Kingbird, Bryan Beaulieu, Jared Spears, alternates are Doug Jourdain, Orville White, Sr., and Robbie Charette. Honorary pallbearers are Rosetta, Rhylia, Whitney, Donte (Gina), Tonya, and Andrew Spears, Ahn'Draya, Sue, and Bill Roy, Lylah Sayers, Kayla Kingbird, Victor and Victoria White, Tre Brummond, Billie Jo Mountain, Kim Cloud, Angie Strong and family. Interment will be in the White Family Burial Grounds in Ponemah, MN.
