Michael "Mike" Duane Brown

March 28, 1942 ~ June 19, 2022 (age 80)

Michael Duane Brown was born in Cass Lake MN to Ruth Dolly Johnson and Michael Brown Sr. He was a dedicated sports fan and spent years coaching the women's Sugar Bush softball team, playing for the Inger/Sugar Bush softball team and watching his boys play football, baseball and basketball. He married the love of his life on October 8th, 1976 in Gaffney South Carolina. He had various jobs prior to his career working as a Leech Lake Safety Officer starting in 1994 and retiring in December 2021.

He is preceded in death by his mother Ruth Johnson, father Mike Brown, daughter Michelle Brown, and son Mike "Sonny" Brown.

He leaves behind his wife Josephine Brown, his sons Scott Brown(Kristina Watson), Darrick Brown, and daughters Tamara Brown, Lois Bowstring(Ken Keezer), and Lisa Hemachandra(Rob Thibert), and his sister Nancy Brown. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family members, and many friends.
