At the March Regular Council Meeting, the Red Lake Tribal Council voted unanimously to lift all COVID-19 mandates via Resolution No. 45-2022, 8 for and 0 against. However it is at the discretion of the Program Directors to determine if any COVID-19 Precautions remain in place at their facilities.

COVID testing will be held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Testing Garage. The Red Lake Hospital is requesting that you call your primary care team at 218-679-3912 for questions and concerns related to COVID-19. COVID vaccinations and boosters are being provided at the Testing Garage for individuals 18 and over. Please bring your card. Vaccinations are provided to children ages 5 to 17 in the Walk-in clinic. The incentive of $130 for each shot provided to individuals is still being offered until further notice.

If you feel ill, please call your primary care team to set up a COVID test. And, if you have tested positive for COVID, it is VERY IMPORTANT to follow the isolation directions from the Contact Tracing Team. This will help control the spread of the virus.

The COVID-19 vaccine is another form of protection for you. As we all know, a vaccinated person can still contract COVID, but more than likely, a vaccinated person might not become as sick as an un-vaccinated person.

It is urged for everyone, ages 5 and up, to get vaccinated. We all need to protect each other, especially our children that aren't old enough to be vaccinated and our members that have a compromised or weak immune system. The vaccine is our best defense against COVID-19.

The Red Lake COVID-19 Emergency Response Team (CERT) will continue and the Surge Plan will be a living document. Comp Health and IHS will determine when to reactive any health crisis protocols. Please stay safe!
