Position Title: 5-12 Teacher Core Content Licensure

Supervisor: Principal

Anticipated Location: Red Lake Secondary Complex

Anticipated Assignment: Online teacher 9-12, JDC students, and any expelled students

Terms: Per Teachers' Master Agreement

Qualifications: 1. Possess a Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited university.

2. Must possess or be able to obtain a Minnesota 5-12, K-6, or 1-6 teaching license.

3. Have prior teaching experience in primary and/or intermediate grades teaching Native American children.

4. Be highly qualified under state/local requirements.

5. Fulfill requirements for a mandatory background check.

6. Have a strong moral character and work ethic.

Position Overview: This teaching position shall structure, implement, and manage direct instruction and facilitate learning as required by Minnesota State Standards and local site requirements and assist in other District and school initiatives in an in-person or online setting.

Major Position Duties: Provide quality instruction to students in virtual or in person setting. Develop and maintain a curriculum that is aligned to district, state, and national standards. Use a variety of formative assessment strategies to diagnose student understanding of the course content. Plan appropriate differentiation strategies to address student need.

Knowledge of learning styles and evidence of lesson planning that reflects a diverse population Experience with integrated curriculum, advisory and teaming.

Strong classroom management skills. Must report on-site daily or as agreed upon with supervisor.
