Gilbert Simon Lussier Sr., 69, of Red Lake, MN died Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at his home in Red Lake.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, May 6, 2022 at the Little Rock Community Center in Red Lake, MN. A wake will begin 3:00 pm, Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at the Little Rock Community Center, and will continue until the time of the service. Interment will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji.

He was born February 20, 1953 the son of Elmer Robert Lussier Sr. and Margaret Rose (Spears) Lussier. Gilbert enjoyed going to the casinos, watching his game shows and he loved to read. He graduated from U of M Crookston with a degree in Natural Resources - Solid Waste Management. He worked for the various tribal programs until he retired.

He is survived by his children Gilbert (Heidi) Lussier II, Arlen Lussier; siblings Arlen "Skidge" (Eldora) Lussier Sr., Debbie Reynolds, Sandra "Nonny" (Ron) Sigana, Alice "Maysa" Lussier, Leslie Lussier and Linda (Kevin) Lussier; Grandchildren: Sean Lussier, Lucas Lussier, Chesh-k'i Lussier, Xavian Lussier and Kiaan Lussier

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Edward "Rob" Lussier, brothers: Elmer Lussier Jr. and Wayne Lussier Sr., sisters: Darlene Needham and Roberta "Bobbi Ann" Lussier, nieces Rose "Ree" Marweg, Deshanna Hallett, Latasha Kingbird, nephews Robert Lussier, and Brandon Lussier Beaulieu.

Honorary Pallbearers: Jerry Lussier, Ole Spears, Rolly Lussier, Leo Beaulieu, Ronny Sigana, Rhonda Dudley, Rhonda Wipf, Arlys Bloom, Alvina "Viney" Fairbanks and Royce Graves Jr.
