July 20, 1966 - April 19, 2022

Jewel Marie Oakgrove, age 55, of St. Paul journeyed to the Spirit World on Tuesday, April19, 2022 at her residence, she fought a long hard battle with cancer.

She was born on July 20, 1966 in Moline, Illinois the daughter of Arlyn Oakgrove and Erma Beaulieu.

She moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. She lived in south Minneapolis her whole life until moving to St. Paul about 5 years ago.

Jewel met Edward Larson ag the young age of 13 and they became life partners. They had eight children.

Jewel was a stay-at-home mom. She was the best mom and friend to her children.

She was a great cook! She would make feasts for birthdays, holidays and wakes. Jewel knew so many different dishes, it was amazing.

She was very creative. Jewel made dream catchers, personalized birthday cards, candy vases, there was no end to what she could make. All of her daughters are following her footsteps.

Jewel's favorite pastime was going to the casino with her brother and her son Eddie when he was here.

Jewel is survived by her children: Renee (Dave), Anthony (Karis), Michael, Jessica (Sabastian), Joseph, Brandon and Laura (Glynn); 8 grandchildren: David, Anthony Jr., Raymond, Jayla, Lola, Avah, Sophia and Alivia; mother: Erma (Cal); sister: Sharon; brother: Craig; uncles: Mike, Dale, Bud and Pete; aunties: Agnes, Eve and Kathy.

Those waiting for Jewel are her son Eddie Jr., dad "Porky" Oakgrove, niece Denise Deer, aunties Sue, Georgia, Gertie and Minnie, uncles Butch, Collins, Bill, Joe, Ted, Larry Johnson and Ray Beaulieu.
