Highway 2 Crookston corridor study open house on April 28

BEMIDJI, Minn. – The City of Crookston, in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), is conducting a corridor study to evaluate existing conditions and potential improvements that could be made along Highway 2 (Broadway and Main Street) in downtown Crookston. The open house will be held on Thursday, April 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Crookston City Hall, 124 N Broadway, Crookston, Minnesota.

The study will also examine the future transportation and mobility needs of Highway 2 to create a corridor for people walking, bicycling, and driving that is safe, accessible, and convenient. The City of Crookston and MnDOT are seeking the community’s input on draft roadway alternatives to understand how Highway 2 could look in the future through downtown Crookston.

Representatives from the City of Crookston, MnDOT, and SRF Consulting Group will be available to discuss the study and gather feedback on the draft roadway alternatives. This will be an open house setting with a brief presentation. Information boards will also be displayed to provide attendees an opportunity to provide input and participate in discussions specific to the future of Highway 2.

Written comments can be mailed to: SRF Consulting Group, 3701 Wayzata Boulevard, Suite 100, Minneapolis, MN 55416-3791 or emailed to Britt Berner at bberner@srfconsulting.com.
