BEMIDJI - Representatives of the Red Lake Tribal Council, along with other members of the Red Lake government, met with the Bemidji City Council in a joint session on Monday.
The April 11 meeting was held to facilitate discussion about shared challenges and where collaboration and partnership can be improved.
After an opening blessing ceremony, a heavy topic marked the initial conversation. Glenda Martin, Red Lake representative of Ponemah, brought forward the ongoing concern of missing and murdered Indigenous women.
